During the fixing up of our house we accumulate a lot of scraps. A LOT! For some reason I can't seem to throw any of these scraps away. I always think "I am going to use these in some way, I'm just not sure how yet." Well, this time I was right:) My crazy hoarding has paid off! I saved these scraps from a doorway casing we installed in our kitchen. I just added a layer of aqua paint I had laying around the house, and these key hooks I got at Hobby Lobby for $2 each. A little bit of work and viola, my new key rack!
Am I the only person out there that can't seem to throw away any building materials???

I LOVE this! I need a place to hang keys for my house, but can't quite decide on a design. Please please link this up to our party this week! http://herestohandyandy.blogspot.com/2012/01/pinteresting-link-party-week-22.html#more
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! I have a hard time getting rid of things I think I may be able to use for crafting materials. Bits of fabric, cardboard, interesting glass shapes that our food might come in. Things like that, my husband thinks I'm crazy. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove this, what a great idea for those left over scraps!! I came over from Mercantile Muse, you have a great blog! =)
