This weekend it finally happened... I tried to stop it but somehow I couldn't. I entered my late 20s. It was actually one of the best nights ever, despite the realization that I am no longer just a kid:) We went to visit our old stomping grounds in Buena Vista, CO. We lived there for almost 4 years and just recently moved away. My friend Rachelle (she seems to be showing up in my blogs a lot lately) threw a party for her husband Robin and me on Sunday. It was a mob themed party and an absolutely hillarious time. There were tons of guns, hats, and cigars. Thank God they weren't loaded:) Here is a quick re-cap of our awesome weekend in the mountains.
some of the ladies showing a little leg.
Robin and I... 27 and loving it.
A group shot.
The ladies in my life. Sky wanted to pose for the picture too:) Man I miss those views!
Now I am ready for 3 days of work and then some more party planning! My sister's baby shower is this weekend so I am sure I will have some great pictures coming soon!

Dream Day
I read a blog today that was talking about the 10 things she would like to do everyday. So, as I sat at my desk, doing exactly the opposite of what I would like to be doing I started daydreaming. This is what I came up with...
1: Pray
2: Take a shower that isn't rushed for fear of the baby screaming.
3: Eat chocolate (Ok I pretty much do this everyday but it is still on the list)
4: Spend at least one hour laying on the floor with Luci Rae. (she is SO close to crawling it isn't funny!)
5: Talk to my sister and mom on the phone (pretty much do this everyday too:)
6: Snuggle on the couch with my hubby.
7: Make a sale on Etsy (it just makes me so happy).
8: Go on a walk with Skylar.
9: Read something just for the fun of it
10: Sleep for an uninterrupted 8 hours!!!!
It seems so simple now that I look over the list but some days it just isn't possible. Non the less, I can honestly say that I am the happiest I have ever been.
Just a few updates on my crazy A.D.D. crafting life:)
Remember those three rosettes that were going to become a headband? Well, they didn't they became something even better:
My new cute clutch:)
So then I really wanted a headband since that is what I set out to make in the first place... well here ya have it:
And before I get my butt back to work here is a little something from the Luci and Taylor Besties photo shoot!
This picture makes me laugh so hard. It describes their personalities to a T! Taylor is so sweet, and so laid back. Luci, while also so sweet, is not so calm... pretty sure she just wanted to eat the flowers.
Till next time!

A Raggy Shaggy Weekend
My husband is probably the kindest, smartest person I know. But more then that he is hilarious! It is the kind of comedy that no one could write. At first glance you would think he is the strong silent type... you would be wrong. When you first meet him he is shy, but behind the closed doors of our duplex you would meet a very different person. I have laughed until I cried on so many occasions I can't even tell you. Like the time I woke up and he was dead asleep with his left arm stuck straight in the air tickling it with his right arm. Or the time he was so hungry at the bank he kept sneaking candy from our bankers bowl and when we got up to leave he ever so slyly took the rest of the bowl in his hand, stuck it in his pocket, and walked out.
This weekend he did not disappoint. I had two of my very best friends visit me from Buena Vista. Rachelle and Robbin are one of my favorite couples to hang out with. Rachelle is not only one of my best friends, she is also my hair dresser, hiking partner and the best thrifting/crafting partner a girl could ask for. You can check her out at http://rachelleburgess.blogspot.com/. It is well worth the visit to her blog I promise.
Well, we spent the weekend doing what I love most, yard sales, thrift stores and antique shops. Saturday evening as we were all sitting around recapping our day we got on the subject of different decorating styles. From traditional to modern we covered it all. Kyle was sitting there just listening and out came my new most favorite term. He said "well, isn't that table raggy shaggy." Rachelle and I stopped, looked at each other, and about died laughing. Of course he was referring to this adorable "shabby chic" table I have in my living room. From now on in our house we will no longer be using the term "shabby chic." It will always be a "raggy shaggy" sort of style for us!
On top of all this hilarity, this Friday I was getting ready to do our laundry, yuck right! Well, I was cleaning out the pockets of Kyle's pants and I found a raisin... that's right a raisin. (insert head tilt and confused look here). Who puts a raisin in their pocket you ask, Kyle does. I could not for the life of me figure out how it got there so I asked. "Well", he explained, "I had a cookie and I didn't want to eat it yet. So, I put it in my pocket and went back to work." Of course he ate the cookie a little later but left the evidence in his pocket. So picture this adorable man, with his hair all done, his nicely ironed tucked in collared shirt, managing these huge solar projects and dealing with HUGE financial investors like Morgan Stanley, all the while he really just has a cookie in his pocket that he wants to save for later. This is one of the many many reasons why I love him!
Well, along with the entertainment of Kyle's raisin and raggy shaggy ideas I decided to take full advantage of Rachelle's visit. I had her teach me how to make adorable fabric rosettes, a super easy envelope pillow and of course a new sassy hair cut! Take a look at the products of our awesome weekend!
LOVE my new fabric flower hair clip. Rachelle taught me so much this weekend!
Amazing mirror I found at Goodwill! You know you are jealous!
Awesome flower rosettes that Rachelle showed me how to make. The will eventually be a head band. I will show you when it's done.
Awesome, extremely easy pillow Rachelle showed me how to make. I will be making 3 more next week!
Well, it was a productive/hilarious weekend for us. Hope you all can say the same!!

I caved to my own obsessions!
Ok ok, I finally caved. I have been an avid (and by avid I mean obsessive) blog reader for about a year now. I religiously follow about 15 blogs, which leads to minimal productivity on some of those slow days at work:) My mind won't seem to turn off, so I figured this would be a great outlet for me to share with... whomever feels like reading... the life that now revolves around one little miss LuciRae. For those of you that know me you can skip this next paragraph but here is just a little bit to get me started.
I am married to the most fantastic man in the world.
Cute right!
I am a new mommy (Luci is 7 months old now!!!)
Cute right :)!!
If you asked me my job title I would have to tell you that I am currently an insurance agent... but this job so does not seem to be the fit for me. I am actually pretty good at it but my real passions revolve around my God, my family, and creating. I LOVE garage sales, thrift shops, antiques stores... heck I have even been known to steal chairs from people's trash. Basically if it looks like it needs some "love" I will probably take it home and try to give it the "love" it deserves.
In this blog I would love to share with you all the happenings in our lives (especially for those of you I don't get to see as often as I would like). Keeping you posted on the awesomeness that is our lives.
I will also be keeping you posted on the latest and greatest "projects" that I am giving "love" to. Here is just one example of this...
My mom found this beauty at an estate sale... I did not take a before picture but I absolutely LOVE the after.
Well, that's all for now... I will keep you posted:)
