I have a bunch of old music paper. A BUNCH. I like to craft with it... but really, I just think it is pretty so I keep it around. Well, I have to apologize. Once again I forgot to take a before. In my defense I originally thought I would just paint this little table white, distress it and call it good. So, I figured it wasn't going to be blog worthy.
After painting it white and distressing it I decided it wasn't done. It was still too boring. Sometimes boring is ok, but not for this little guy. Welp, I must have been sniffing glue again cause I was craving some ModPodge.
I slapped it on there and then polyurithained the YOU KNOW WHAT out of it. I wanted the top to be fun and cool, but sturdy.
I have to say, it turned out even better then I though it would! What do you think?
Cheers!
love it. been thinking about something similar for our god forsaken uglier than could be possible bathroom door. my husband was all excited last week.....'hey, we have a door downstairs, i might have to trim it but'....then i told him to measure the bath door. um, one size up top. totally dif width on bottom, veneer peeling off, ugh. this is why i'm thinking i may cover it with something like that. looks fab!

Hi I just joined your blog from Frenc Country Cottage, Feathered Nest Friday. LOVE your music page table. I saw something like yours at a shop and wanted to do it. I have some and after seeing yours , I'm going to finish it next week. Thx for the inspiration!

ReplyDeleteGreat table! I also did a table like this back in the summer. Its on my blog in the July posts. I am a music teacher so I love to incorporate old music into my projects.
