This is it... my new favorite thing.  For the moment at least:)

I had a custom slip cover done, and I must say... I secretly hope this never sells:)  And that I am forced to bring her home.  And that no one EVER comes near her with chocolate fingers.  But even if they do, it's cool, cause like I said before, it's a slipcover and can be washed.

So, this is how it went:

Me:  "I just ordered a bunch of clothes for the shop from this awesome new line SugarLips."

Kyle:  "Nice."

Me:  "I am going to need a cute way to display it though, I can't find a good clothing rack that's cheap."

Kyle:  "huh."

Me:  "I want to build this one, that I found on Pinterest."

Kyle:  "That's pretty cool, but I'm going to be gone all next week."

Me:  "Well, do you think I can do it without you?"

Kyle:  "haha, no."

Flash forward to later that week:

Me:  "Suck it Kyle"

What's Up

As we approach Christmas it is getting crazier and crazier around the casa and the shop.  Sometimes I feel like I am just trying to keep my head above water... and then a mean kid swims by and dunks me.  

Other then feeling like I might drown, things are going really well over at The Dented Lampshade.  Not only have I been busting out furniture and decor for the shop, but I have been doing some custom work too.

Christmas is in full force at The Barn.  Stars, snowflakes, an awesome window display, and even a rotating tree. 360 degrees of fabulousness!  I guess the season is upon us.  It's like we skipped right over Thanksgiving and moved straight into Christmas.

Shabby Chic

I don't have a before picture but this is one of my favorite pieces ever.  I just did my typical white wash on all but the squares on the back.  I did a really light robins egg blue on the squares.  I love the combination of the sleek perfection of the squares and the shabby chippy whitewash.  It's the epitome of shabby chic.

I Heart You

I have TONS of folding chairs. If you ask me, you can't have too many folding chairs.  We have a small dining room table so we only keep 4 chairs out in our day to day living.  When friends come over we bust out all of the folding chairs.  Well, I decided that if we are going to have a million folding chairs around, they might as well be cute.

I just started with a plain old metal folding chair that had a wood seat:

And how would you like to sit your butt in this beauty!??

This particular one made it's way to the shop, but don't worry, I will be doing fun stuff to the rest of my chairs too!
